Terms of use

Please read these terms before using Mera Makaan. Last updated: 16 October 2026.

Important: we check documents, but this is not a legal guarantee of title. Always have a lawyer check the papers before you pay.

1. What we are

Mera Makaan is an online platform where property owners list directly. We are not an agent, dealer or party to any deal, and we take no commission. Any deal is between the owner and the buyer or tenant.

2. Accounts and listings

  • Only the owner of a property (or their properly authorised representative) may list it. Dealers are not allowed.
  • Details, prices and photos must be true and current.
  • One CNIC may not have more than the allowed number of active listings. Above that, the account may be reviewed as a probable dealer.
  • We may reject, hide or remove any listing, in particular after reports or if the information looks wrong.

3. Verification and our responsibility

  • A badge means our team has seen what that tier describes. It is not a legal guarantee of ownership or title.
  • We are not connected to any government land-record system and make no such claim.
  • Buyers and tenants should have a lawyer check the papers and should confirm with the relevant government office themselves before any deal.

4. Not allowed

  • Posting fake, duplicate or misleading listings, or passing off someone else's property as yours.
  • Using someone else's photos or identity.
  • Scraping numbers or data in bulk with automated tools.
  • Using the platform to cheat or harass anyone.

5. Deals

All deals are between the owner and the other party. We are not liable for loss arising from a deal, although we take reports seriously. Never pay money before you have seen the property yourself and had the papers checked.

6. Photos and content

You keep the rights to the photos and text you upload, and you allow us to display them in your listing. Public photos carry our watermark and have location data removed.

7. Changes

We may change these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
